Ontario Association of General Surgeons
The Ontario Association of General Surgeons (OAGS) is a non-profit organization that represents General Surgeons throughout the province of Ontario. It is an interest group that works with other organizations toward improving the working conditions of General Surgeons and, in turn, the overall health care conditions of their patients. We have been celebrating 20 years of service (1995-2015) and hope to continue acting as the voice of General Surgeons of Ontario for years to come!
Canadian Association of General Surgeons
The Canadian Association of General Surgeons is the only national organization representing the interests of General Surgeons in Canada. CAGS advocates for manpower issues, transition of practice for the aging General Surgeon, pay equity for General Surgeons, access to resources needed to provide care for patients, and for quality of care for surgical patients. CAGS provides a voice for ALL General Surgeons to be heard across Canada. A strong and unified voice for General Surgery will make healthcare better for Canadians.
